Introduction

The Iowa State University Communications and Signal Processing group
focuses on innovative research in the areas of communications, signal
and image processing, and information theory.
The major research areas include
- intelligent pattern recognition
- statistical signal processing
- multiple antenna communications
- ultra-wide bandwidth communications
- coding and decoding techniques
- bioinformatics
- modeling and visualization of uncertain information
- network coding, and network information theory
This diversity of expertise facilitates leading edge research in signal
processing, communications, and intelligent system design and modeling.
The group's research is highly interdisciplinary and group members are
part of several centers at ISU such as
